Our Story

Welcome to Scripted by Her, a podcast and theatre company created by Erin and Emily, a dynamic comedy duo passionate about bridging the intergenerational conversation gap among women. Our mission is to inspire female empowerment and creativity, especially among young women. Join us on this journey as we share stories, insights, and laughter to uplift and empower women of all ages to have the courage to write their own life scripts.

Meet Erin Reedie

Actor, Writer, Musician, Horse Girl. 

With a background rooted in rural Australia, Erin has a unique skill set encompassing equine training and performance. She is neurodivergent and has always found life makes more sense when using imagination and creativity.

 

Having graduated from Actors Centre Australia (ACA) in 2022 with a Bachelor’s in Performing Arts for Stage and Screen Acting. She's had the privilege of portraying significant roles such as Edna in Fan Girls, Dolly in Anna Karenina, Rosalind in As You Like It, and Jane in Pride and Prejudice.

In 2022 she founded Piccolo Ponies—a multi-platformed children’s entertainment company showcasing fantasy-based theatre for children. The shows she has written, performed and produced feature the characters Fairy Erin and Unicorn Piccolo. Her productions have garnered attention across various platforms, from sold-out performances at the Sydney Fringe Festival to appearances on Network Ten’s Studio 10 and editorial features in Highlife Magazine.

In addition to her stage endeavours, she’s contributed to both feature and short films, including The Appleton Ladies Potato Race (dir. Lynn Hegarty) and short film The Things We Do (dir. Reid McGowan), as well as touring a stage adaptation of Romeo and Juliet at the Adelaide Fringe Festival.
 
Complementing her performance career, she’s written a musical based on the life of Charlotte Atkinson - Australia’s pioneering children’s author - that has been promoted by the Wingecarribee Women Writers and toured various primary schools across NSW,  inspiring the next generation of creatives and young readers.​

Meet Emily Sinclair

Actor, Musician, Writer, Cat Mum. 

Born and raised in Western Sydney, Emily grew up worshipping Hannah Montanna and was obsessed with watching Miley Cyrus’ audition for the Disney channel on YouTube.

 

Her love for acting and telling stories continued to grow throughout high school and upon graduating, she was lucky enough to be involved in the CEDP’s 2019 production of Forgotten by Cate Whitaker at The Riverside Theatre, originating the role of Jane New (dir. Lucinda Armour, Natasha Beaumont and Tim Martin).


Since obtaining a Bachelor of Performing Arts: Stage and Screen in 2022 at Actors Centre Australia, Emily has gone on to be a part of the ACA Wheelhouse program’s Shape Of Things by Neil LaBute, as Jenny (dir. Kim Hardwick) and Juliet in Sex, Youth and Love: A Shakespearean Soirée, performed at the 2024 Adelaide Fringe festival (dir. Jonathan Mill)


She has also been involved in voice-over work for Annie McCubbin’s Why Smart Women Buy The Lies audiobook and has appeared in both corporate and television commercials.
